about

Excerpt from the liner notes:
"Curated from sessions between March 2011 and April 2013, these sounds represent a growing body of music, and a growing community of musical cosmonauts in Missoula...our core group has grown from two to three to four. Most recently, violinist and bassist Charles Nichols joined the group in November of 2012. These golden pieces of practices, fleeting thoughts on forgotten settings, and inspired improvisations - literal notes from the underground - were produced in our studio, a concrete-floored basement at the end of a sometimes submerged hallway. From this windowless vantage point, we strive to find new sounds; you hold in your hands our discoveries.
